It is a gorge with a wide river and an enormous waterfall flanked by two colossal stone statues facing each other, representing two legendary ninja. One of them is the First Hokage, Konoha's founder. The place takes its name from an ancient battle that, according to tradition, reshaped the terrain, and it works as a symbolic frontier: the point where whoever leaves the village leaves their world behind. The work returns to it again and again at its moments of rupture.","lvl":0,"ch":"naruto-218","pos":218},{"h":"Naruto against Sasuke","t":"At the end of Part I, Naruto catches up with Sasuke in the valley as he flees to join Orochimaru. Naruto promises to bring him back even if it takes force, and the two fight on the water and the statues. Sasuke awakens his full Sharingan and reaches the second level of the curse mark, while Naruto draws on the Nine-Tails' chakra cloak. Hurled at each other, Chidori and Rasengan collide in a sphere of chakra in which Naruto only manages to scratch Sasuke's headband. Sasuke is left standing, decides not to kill him and walks away, and Kakashi finds Naruto unconscious in the rain.","lvl":0,"ch":"naruto-234","pos":234},{"h":"The valley's origin","t":"In Shippūden the full story of the place is revealed. The statues represent Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha, who founded Konoha together but ended up as enemies. When Madara left the village because his dream was different, he returned years later with the Nine-Tails under his control to challenge his old friend. The duel, in which the fox clad in Madara's Susanoo clashed with Hashirama's gigantic wooden statue, shaped the valley. Hashirama won and ran Madara through with his sword to protect the village, unaware that his rival had already prepared his return.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-626","pos":626},{"h":"Indra and Asura","t":"Toward the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki explains that the repeated clashes in the valley are no coincidence. His sons, Indra and Asura, fought over his succession, and their chakra was reincarnated across generations in rivals who repeated the same fight: first Madara and Hashirama, then Sasuke and Naruto. The valley thus becomes the symbolic stage of that inherited conflict. When Sasuke seals the tailed beasts and leaves Sakura under a genjutsu, it is that very place he chooses to wait for Naruto, while Hagoromo tells Kakashi the story of his two sons.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-693","pos":693},{"h":"The last battle","t":"The final duel between Naruto and Sasuke returns to where it all started. Sasuke wants to eliminate the tailed beasts and the Kage to bear the world's hatred alone; Naruto refuses to let him. They fight with full Susanoo and the Nine-Tails' avatar, and Sasuke even absorbs the chakra of the sealed tailed beasts. The clash destroys both of the valley's statues. Out of chakra, they keep fighting with their fists until a last clash of Chidori and Rasengan in which both lose an arm. Lying on the ground, Sasuke admits defeat, and Sakura heals them before the two undo the Infinite Tsukuyomi together.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-699","pos":699}],"characters":["naruto","sasuke","kakashi","hashirama","madara","sakura"],"related":["konoha-aldea","aldeas","indra-asura","reencarnacion","mokuton","senju","sello-maldito","otogakure"],"reference":"Naruto, chapters 217–234, 621–626 and 693–699","sources":[{"title":"Guía oficial de anime: Naruto y Shippuden","url":"https://naruto-official.com/en/anime"}],"figures":[]}
