When Sasuke faces him, he reveals his right arm covered in grafted Sharingan and Hashirama's cells, and uses Izanagi to rewrite his death several times. Those eyes are not a Shimura inheritance: he took them from the Uchiha. Sumire is heir to a plan of Danzō's that passed through her family, tied to Root, and she unleashes Nue, a creature created for that project. Sai, who knows Root from the inside, discovers she is responsible for the incidents. It is not a Shimura blood inheritance: Sumire is not Danzō's relative, but inherits the consequences of his organization.
