Its members are Uchiha and wear the clan's fan on their emblem. Fugaku, father of Itachi and Sasuke, is its chief in the period Sasuke's memories show. The headquarters and the clan's district are in the same part of the village, so work and family blur together. It should not be confused with ANBU, which answers directly to the Hokage.","lvl":0,"ch":"naruto-222","pos":222},{"h":"Itachi against the Police","t":"After Shisui's death, three members of the Police show up at Fugaku's house and accuse Itachi of killing him. Itachi knocks them down, mocks the clan's obsession with the organization and confronts his father; he only apologizes when Sasuke begs him to stop. The guides name those officers as Yashiro, Inabi and Tekka. From then on Fugaku turns his attention to Sasuke and teaches him the Great Fireball. The scene shows the Police as the political heart of the clan.","lvl":0,"ch":"naruto-223","pos":223},{"h":"Suspicion after the Nine-Tails","t":"The Nine-Tails' attack changes the Police's position. Since the Sharingan can control the beast, the leadership suspects the clan and moves it to a corner of the village under watch. The Police stops being just a security job and becomes the base from which the Uchiha organize a coup against Konoha. Itachi's infiltration of ANBU and the mutual surveillance between the two institutions are covered in the article on ANBU. The massacre ends both the clan and the Police as it existed.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-401","pos":401},{"h":"A double-edged gift","t":"When the former Hokage are revived, Tobirama explains how he saw the clan: the Uchiha loved so intensely that they could fall into hatred. It was during his term that the clan was put in charge of the village's security, a post that honored it and at the same time kept it away from government. Tobirama also remembers loyal Uchiha like Kagami, and the Hokage acknowledge their mistakes before Sasuke. The Police thus appears as one of the roots of the isolation that ended in tragedy.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-627","pos":627},{"h":"In the anime","t":"The Police carries more weight in anime material. In the Infinite Tsukuyomi dream Sasuke lives through, the clan is still alive and he joins the Police, which in that fantasy terrorizes the village until Fugaku expels him. These are filler episodes and not part of the manga. The anime's adaptation of Itachi's story also covers the years before the coup with the Police in the background.","lvl":1,"ep":"shippuden-443","pos":678},{"h":"After the Uchiha","t":"After the massacre, Konoha still has a police force, but no longer tied to a clan. In the Boruto anime the village police appears in specific cases, such as guarding a businessman threatened by a killer who strikes on rainy days, with Team 7's support. Its presence is secondary, and the work does not detail its organization or who leads it. What is clear is that it is no longer one family's fiefdom.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-155","pos":715}],"characters":["fugaku","itachi","sasuke","shisui","yashiro","inabi","tekka","tobirama","kagami"],"related":["anbu","masacre","konoha","sharingan","konoha-aldea","raiz"],"reference":"Naruto, chapters 222–224, 399–401 and 619–627; Shippūden, episodes 442–443; Boruto, episode 155.","sources":[{"title":"Itachi: familia, ANBU y la tragedia del clan","url":"https://naruto-official.com/en/news/01_1814"},{"title":"Shisui: Kotoamatsukami y su legado en Itachi","url":"https://naruto-official.com/en/news/01_1625"},{"title":"Sasuke: su familia y el camino de la venganza","url":"https://naruto-official.com/en/news/01_1856"}],"figures":[]}
