In the end, instead of striking, he touches Sasuke's forehead with two fingers, as when they were children, and dies. In the arc about Kakashi in ANBU, Danzō tries to take Shisui's eye, Shisui ends up taking his own life, and Danzō gives the order to eliminate the clan. The series devoted to Itachi shows how the Uchiha were sidelined after the Nine-Tails' attack, Itachi's entry into ANBU, the night of the massacre in greater detail and his later entry into the Akatsuki.
