They were bee users from Iwagakure, well known and respected in their day; Suzumebachi, their last known leader, claims the First Tsuchikage belonged to the clan. Its members fight with swarms of bees and wasps, use them to trap or poison and can summon giant bees. To summon they do not use the usual seals: they press their right thumb into the palm of their left hand. They track Team 8 from the shadows, and Hinata ends up in their hands.","lvl":0,"ep":"naruto-149","pos":238},{"h":"Old rivals of the Aburame","t":"Years before the story, the Kamizuru led an Iwagakure attempt to invade Konoha and were driven back by the Aburame, more experienced in using insects. The defeat was so harsh that they lost their prestige in Iwa and their numbers began to dwindle. That is why the clash with Shino has the feel of a rematch. The three members who appear, Suzumebachi, Jibachi and Kurobachi, act as a clan group, but the series does not automatically present them as siblings, so they should not be given a family tie that is never stated.","lvl":0,"ep":"naruto-150","pos":238},{"h":"The hunt for the scroll","t":"The last Kamizuru want to regain their lost prestige by finding the First Tsuchikage's secret scroll, full of forbidden techniques for insect users. To find it they need a bikōchū, the insect that memorizes a scent and follows it. Konoha is after the same insect to track Sasuke, and the two groups clash. The Kamizuru kidnap Hinata to trade her for the bikōchū, and the rescue ends in a trap: Hinata is wrapped in a cocoon and swept away by the river.","lvl":0,"ep":"naruto-150","pos":238},{"h":"The final defeat","t":"Hinata breaks free and destroys the Kamizuru's bees with the defensive technique she had been practicing, Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms Protection, one of her first clear victories. Suzumebachi tries a last attack by summoning a giant bee, but Naruto beats her with the Rasengan. Neither Konoha nor the Kamizuru get what they wanted: Naruto accidentally makes the bikōchū memorize his own scent. A later novel hints that a beekeeper descended from a destroyed Iwa clan might come from this family.","lvl":0,"ep":"naruto-151","pos":238}],"characters":["suzumebachi","jibachi","kurobachi"],"related":["chakra"],"reference":"Official series and chapter guides as reading context.
