It is designed to break through defenses. The bearer strikes with the axe and, if the edge catches in a shield or armor, hammers the back of it like driving a wedge until it splits. It depends on momentum and closeness: if the opponent dodges the first blow, the weapon loses almost all its advantage.","lvl":1},{"h":"Jinin Akebino","t":"Its bearer is Jinin Akebino, a swordsman of the previous generation, revived by Kabuto with the Impure World Reincarnation for the Fourth War. Mangetsu Hōzuki opens the scroll where the swords were kept and returns Kabutowari to him. Suigetsu, while looking for the Kubikiribōchō, explains to Kakashi's division how each weapon works, including this one. Mangetsu had also mastered it in life. Jinin fights with heavy, direct blows, aiming to break the guard rather than cut. His way of using the weapon confirms the usual rule: if the first blow misses, the opponent has time to counterattack.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-523","pos":523},{"h":"Sealed by Sai","t":"The anime expands Jinin's fight. Kabutowari's hammer generates shockwaves able to knock down several shinobi at once, and Jinin uses it against the Alliance with far more presence than in the manga. He ends up immobilized and sealed with the help of Sai and his ink techniques. After the war, the sword returns to Kirigakure's vault. The animated version gives him more room than the manga, where the revived swordsmen fall quickly. There, Jinin is just one of several, with no detailed individual fight.","lvl":1,"ep":"shippuden-284","pos":544},{"h":"Kyohō and a frame-up","t":"In the Boruto anime, Kyohō Fuefuki takes Kabutowari when the New Seven Ninja Swordsmen steal Kirigakure's swords; the group falls and the weapon returns to the village. Later, in a work program to reduce sentences, Kyohō is among those released, and Kobanza steals Kabutowari to kill a captain and frame him. The case is cleared up and the blame falls on the real culprit. The episode uses the weapon for a crime rather than a fight, and forces the village to decide whether it trusts its former swordsmen.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-235","pos":758}],"characters":["jinin"],"related":["espadachines","siete-espadas"],"reference":"Naruto, chapters 518–520 (the revived Swordsmen in the Fourth War).","sources":[{"title":"Guía oficial de anime: Naruto y Shippuden","url":"https://naruto-official.com/en/anime"}],"figures":[]}
