Everything known about the clan and its techniques comes from the Boruto anime, through Wasabi, Boruto's Academy classmate. Its main secret technique is a Cat Cloak that, using a scroll, gives the user several feline traits to boost their taijutsu: speed, agility, claws. Wasabi has cat-like pupils and prominent fangs, and often wears a cat tail as an accessory.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-224","pos":758},{"h":"A modest clan","t":"The Izuno are a little-known clan. Few of its members ever made chūnin, and always as adults; Wasabi has never known an Izuno who became a jōnin. The current head of the clan is Amagi Izuno. The anime names no other members, so Wasabi should not be given relatives beyond the ones mentioned. That modesty is part of her story: when Wasabi is promoted, she becomes the youngest Izuno to reach chūnin and the only one to do it before adulthood.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-226","pos":758},{"h":"Wasabi and her grandmother","t":"As a girl, Wasabi listened to her grandmother tell stories about the clan and its most powerful technique. At first they impressed her, but she noticed her grandmother embellished the details every time and came to believe it was all a tall tale. In the Chūnin Exams, Wasabi faces Iwabee with a feline technique scroll her grandmother gave her and ends up mastering the clan's advanced technique, Cat God Possession. When Iwabee passes out, she saves him from a collapsing statue and wins the match.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-224","pos":758},{"h":"Wasabi on Team 15","t":"Wasabi forms Team 15 with Sumire Kakei and Namida Suzumeno. In the anime she appears in everyday missions, such as looking for a lost cat that drives her up the wall, and in more serious episodes where she is hurt by a dark presence. In the anime's second Chūnin Exams, Wasabi is promoted to chūnin along with Hōki, Sarada and Denki, while Boruto and Mitsuki are disqualified for arriving late. The promotion makes Wasabi a small milestone for her family.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-226","pos":758}],"characters":["wasabi"],"related":["chakra"],"reference":"Official series and chapter guides as reading context.
