With the Four Legs technique the ninja runs and attacks like an animal, gaining speed, strength and agility, and with the Beast Human Clone the dog takes its partner's shape. Kiba uses it against Naruto in the Chūnin Exam preliminaries, sure that his opponent is the worst in the class, and ends up losing because he underestimated him: Naruto distracts him with a disguise and an unexpected attack. In a Part I filler episode, Akamaru is infected by a bacterium and attacks people in the village; Kiba protects him from the ANBU and, with Naruto and Hana, manages to give him a cure that only works half the time. In the end Ukon leaves his body and Kiba flees with a wounded Akamaru, until the Sand reinforcements rescue him.
