Its name joins two Japanese flatfish, the hirame and the karei. It stores chakra and, at the command “Hiramekarei, unleash”, releases it through the holes: the bandages come undone and the chakra coats the blade to take whatever shape the bearer wants, such as a hammer or a long sword. The more chakra it has stored, the bigger the resulting weapon. The shapes it takes depend on the user's chakra and control.","lvl":1},{"h":"Chōjūrō at the summit","t":"Its bearer is Chōjūrō, the young bodyguard of the Mizukage Mei Terumī, shy, bespectacled and always unsure of himself. He is the only swordsman of his generation still loyal to Kirigakure and the only one who keeps a sword in the village. When Sasuke bursts into the Kage Summit and Mei corners him, Chōjūrō unleashes Hiramekarei for the first time and forms a chakra hammer with which he strikes him. Having it does not make anyone Mizukage or grant the other swords.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-466","pos":466},{"h":"In the war","t":"Chōjūrō fights in the Fourth War with the Alliance and handles Hiramekarei with more ease than at the summit. With all its stored chakra, the sword forms a long blade far beyond its normal size. Nearby, Kabuto has revived the former Mist swordsmen, and the previous generation clashes with Kakashi's division: Chōjūrō is the link between those swords and the village that lost them.","lvl":1,"ch":"naruto-562","pos":562},{"h":"The Sixth Mizukage","t":"In Boruto, Chōjūrō is now the Sixth Mizukage. Boruto: Naruto the Movie shows that Hiramekarei can split into two swords, each with its own hilt. When the Ōtsutsuki attack the Chūnin Exams, Chōjūrō fights Kinshiki in the stadium alongside the other Kage, but Momoshiki overwhelms them and absorbs their techniques. Even as Kage, Chōjūrō keeps the sword that has been with him since his bodyguard days, and he is the only one of his generation who still wields it within the village.","lvl":2,"ch":"boruto-8","pos":708},{"h":"Kagura and the two halves","t":"The Boruto anime adds a bearer: Kagura Karatachi, from the same clan as the Fourth Mizukage and Chōjūrō's assistant. In the New Seven Ninja Swordsmen arc, Kagura uses Hiramekarei, and thanks to its split into two halves, Boruto wields one of them for a moment. Later Kagura shows he can enlarge the blade to many times its size, but he dies in the war against the Funato clan. Afterward, the sword returns to the Mizukage's hands.","lvl":2,"ep":"boruto-246","pos":758}],"characters":["chojuro","kagura"],"related":["espadachines","siete-espadas","karatachi"],"reference":"Naruto, chapters 458–468 (Five Kage Summit); Boruto, anime (Kirigakure arc).","sources":[{"title":"Guía oficial de anime: Naruto y Shippuden","url":"https://naruto-official.com/en/anime"}],"figures":[]}
